The Benefit of Wisdom

Luke 2:40 NKJV
And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

This week we looked at how wisdom is strength. The strength of wisdom is a mysterious strength. A person who has muscles has obvious strength; you provoke them and they will probably pick you and throw you outside. You will find people who do not have muscles but their strength is mysterious.

Proverbs 4:8 NKJV
Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.

Another benefit of wisdom, is that wisdom will bring you promotion and honor. Most people go through life experiencing dishonor, that is why people are fighting for themselves because no one is coming to say;  you are a great person, you are a good leader, you are a good mother, you are good teacher, there is so much dishonor in the world. People who do great things are treated like common people, always taken for granted. But I can tell you, wisdom will promote you, she will bring you honor. If you embrace wisdom, you will be somewhere minding your own business and people will come and say ‘You are a great person.’

Wisdom also adds life to you;
Proverbs 4:10 NKJV
Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And the years of your life will be many.

Proverbs 9:11 NKJV
For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you.

Proverbs 3:16 NKJV
Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor.

Wisdom can sound like a boring subject especially to the unwise, but I tell you, just look at the evidence and you will know that you just have to embrace wisdom.
