‭‭Genesis‬ ‭19‬:‭29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had dwelt.” ‭‭

Lot didn’t have a covenant with God, but Abraham did. And so God saved Lot from Sodom on account of Abraham. It says God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow.

This is the same Lot that Abraham had to fight and rescue from the five kings when they had invaded Sodom (Gen 14).

Now, remember that this is the same Lot that chose the best lands and the watered plains when he had become very wealthy and his herdsmen were quarreling with Abraham’s herdsmen (Gen 13:5-11). Abraham is the one who said let’s not quarrel, choose. And he chose the best and left Abraham with the rest. He forgot that he became rich on account of Abraham!

Now we see him running out of Sodom, with only his wife and two daughters! His wife didn’t make it.

No flocks. No herdsmen. No servants. No money. He was barely saved from the flames, again because of Abraham.

Don’t forget that we have been blessed on account of another - JESUS (Eph 1:3)! And in this life, you’ll also be blessed many times because of others that God has spoken to. You and I are not self made.

Never forget.
