A Very Present Help In Trouble

Psalms 46:1-3 NKJV
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

In March 2023, Apostle Mosze sent me and a team of people to Hoima for an awakening. While en route to Hoima, a few kilometers before Kiboga town, I noticed that the car was wobbly. The front tyre at the driver’s side had burst and were forced to stop where there was nearly no settlement in sight. No sooner had we stopped than a white Toyota car came to a screeching halt right behind us. Out came this gentleman, who on finding out the trouble with the car, got the required tools from his car, placed the spare tyre without us asking him, led us to the nearest petrol station and ensured we have a new tyre. He left me with his phone number and introduced himself as one who worked as a mechanic but when we tried to call the phone number he gave us to appreciate him, it was never on. I came to later believe this could have been an angel sent from God, to minister to our needs at the very moment we needed it.

Trouble is a state or condition of difficulty. It is guaranteed that while we are on earth, we will face many troubles according to John 16:33. The Psalmist however gives us an assurance that GOD is our VERY PRESENT HELP in Trouble. This realization should fill us with unending peace, joy, hope and patience because the one with whom all things are possible is with us. His presence is a guarantee of our victory over any form of trouble.

You may be in the midst of a ministry/marriage/business/family/financial/health trouble, that like my tyre that burst is hindering your progress in life. You may not even be sure of how or when you will overcome the trouble, but the assurance that GOD is with you should dispel any fear or anxiety in your heart. The Psalmist in Psalm 46:5 further says that “God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.”

Turn on your PRAISE. Turn on your JOY. Hold onto your PEACE. Give THANKS to GOD for He is with you in the midst of that trouble.
